R. Philip Roberson

This is a professional headshot of a smiling man. He is bald and has a full beard and is wearing glasses. He is dressed in a buttoned-up shirt with a collar, and the background is plain and light-colored, providing a good contrast with his darker brown attire. The overall impression is of a friendly and approachable individual.

I am currently the Lab Manager in the Department of Earth Sciences at Tennessee Tech University. I teach and coordinate introductory geology lab courses, manage/curate Earth Science Department collections, and oversee all prep lab spaces.

My graduate research used multivariate statistics and geometric morphometrics to quantify species variation within a single genus of clams. My current research interests include paleoecology, Waulsortian mounds, and Geoscience education.
